It's Back to the Beach for the Mad Dogs Weds Swim/Run/ Social on Wednesday - March 16th! See below for details & directions!
MAD DOG WEDNESDAY NIGHT RUNS AT THE TAVERN AT BAYBORO! 6:00 PM Every Wednesday!
Come Run With The Mad Dogs on Wednesday Nights and then join us afterwards at The Tavern At Bayboro starting Wednesday, November 3, 2010 till Wednesday March 9, 2011: Our favorite watering hole kicks off our route run of anywhere between 2 and 9 miles. All abilities are welcome, and you go at your own pace. Runners leave from the Tavern at approxmately 6:00 PM. Bring a few bucks for a meal at The Tavern after (the average menu item is about $5 or less, with good portions), and enjoy a free domestic beverage (soda, wine or beer) on us if you wear a Mad Dog logo! Remember, the parking lot is USF property, so remember to park in spaces marked "Parking for The Tavern/Bayboro Books Only". Featuring good food, drink and music!
The First Swim, Run & Social at Pass-A-Grille Beach will start up again and be on Wednesday, 3/16/2011!
We switch the location of our Wednesday Night Workouts and Social to coordinate with the weather and Daylight Savings Time.
When the time changes in November we will be meeting at the Tavern at Bayboro (USF-St. Pete) for Wednesday Run/Social where we run from 6:00 PM and then return to The Tavern at Bayboro for Some Great Food & Drink & Social! We then switch back to Pass-A-Grille Beach (Hurley Park) for the World Famous Mad Dog Swim/Run/Social for the spring & summer season in the spring!
HOW MUCH MORE EXCITING CAN IT GET? April 14th & 21st, our good friends from ZOOT will be on-site at the beach with live demos--just in time for St. Anthony's! Get a preview at www.ZootSports.com.
Our traditional Spring to Fall wednesday Nights take place at Beautiful Pass-A-Grille Beach 1 mile south of the historic Don CeSar Resort. We assemble at the flag pole in front of Frank T. Hurley Park at 6PM, and start our walk up the beach when the community church bells ring. There is always a hot grill and hot dogs provided--we just ask you bring your own drink and (if you can) a small dish to share (chips, beans, salad or any side dishes are budget-friendly and enjoyed by all). There have been in excess of 200 at the Wednesday swims and you never know who will show up depending on who is in town training or racing!
