The 2008 Mad Dog Madeira Beach Triathlon, a club-sponsored race, was held the first weekend in June. The weekend consisted of a Friday Night Beach 5K, a series of three Mini and Kids triathlons on Saturday, followed by a full sprint distance race on Sunday. Over the weekend, approximately 1545 athletes raced and howled at Madeira Beach.
