Tentative 2011 St. Anthony's Triathlon/Mad Dogs Events & Happenings Schedule: April 13 & & 20- Wednesday(s) - Famous Mad Dog Open Water Swim/Run/Social at Pass-A-Grille Beach with Wetsuit/Running Shoe Demos, Food ( w/ special outside catering on April 21st) and fun with the other 150-200 or so other triathletes that show up. ( & you hey never know who will be there :) April 21 - Thursday - Mad Dog Membership with very special guests/pro triathlete speaker ( Look for a well known suprise guest this year to be officially announced soon!) along with great raffle prizes and giveaways! April 22 - Friday - "The Great Tradition" Mad Dog Pre Race Dinner Reception and Social! Hosted by Bob Bitterli and Harper Partners. This famous tradition features food, pasta, and drink along with desserts ( If desired) out in the courtyard. All Mad Dog & their guests along with visiting pro triathletes are invited. April 22-23 - Friday & Saturday - Mad Dog Expo Booth featuring great Mad Dog Merchandise including new 2010 headsweat race hats & visors with other new items along with information on the club & Madeira Beach Triathlon April 24 - Sunday - The Infamous Mad Dog Post Race St. Anthony's Party featuring food, drink and music! A great traditional way to finish an awesome weekend! Location to be announced! Check back for further details and look for e-mail updates! Volunteers Needed! Want to volunteer for the Mad Dog Waterstop and have fun cheering on your friends at the same time! Then e-mail BOD@stpetemaddogs.com ! You'l also get a free shirt and other items! St. Anthony's Activities: Look for early registration as an active Mad Dog at our November Anniversary Party at The Tavern at Bayboro. We typically have 100+ athletes at our Wednesday Night Swim and Social the week before. Would you like to homestay a pro athlete? Opportunities are available in March/April 2010. Our Guest Speaker at the Membership Meeting the Thursday before St. Anthony's is typically a pro triathlete with an amazing opportunity for Q&A. The Friday before St. A's, the Mad Dogs are proud to host a free pre-race pasta dinner/social. What a perfect event to attend just after packet pick-up and bike check-in! Just after Sunday's race, we have a free post-race party, complete with food, beer and music. Check back to this page in late February/early March of 2011 for more details. The St. Pete MAD DOGs have always had a love of St. Anthony's Triathlon, and the event is one of the highlights of our social and racing season. Each year, we throw both a Pre Race Dinner/Social and a Post Race Party, host many professional triathletes as homestays, and ask our membership to consider volunteering at a waterstop during the 6.2 mile run on race day.
